The One With The Death Meme

And I thought memes could stoop no lower...

(I do find it amusing that the page that this meme comes from is entitled: "Funny Quizzes and Blog Memes. The #1 Site for Hilarious Quizzes". Oh yeah, ways of dying, what a hoot!)

You'll die from an Unlikely Illness (like the plague).

You will unfortunately succumb to a random and unlikely disease. Only to find out after death that eating more broccoli would have cured you.

'How will you die?' at QuizGalaxy.com

See strictlytrue, what did I tell you about broccoli being good for you?

Of course, this is how I actually want to die, Collapse )

Oh ignore me, I'm rambling, I've spent too much time in the pub this evening.

The One With Too Many Parentheses

I was totally scuppered by me having to work even though it is a bank holiday today.  Admittedly partly because I had four JD & cokes in the pub last night (I wasn't drunk but that's quite a lot for me on a schoolnight) which meant that my head was fuzzier than usual at 6am this morning.

When I got to the station of course there were no DLRs running to anywhere useful because of their pesky engineering works (yes yes, I know, they're essential, and much better to do them at weekends than disrupt the service during the week, but still), so my journey was a haphazard sleepy stumble from Canning Town to Stratford to Liverpool Street to Barbican, with a stop off at Delice de France for a bacon and cheese croissant (which is totally against my healthy eating regime but some days you just have to eat something hot and greasy) and lots of diet coke.

When I arrived at work the building was entirely locked up and I couldn't get in.  It took me a good ten minutes to remember that on bank holidays I have to go through the security entrance and flash my staff pass because the centre doesn't open til 11am.  I felt like rather a muppet.

I have done something stupid to one of my toes last night (I imagine this is directly related to the four JD & cokes) so I have been wandering round the office in my socks all day today.  I'm alright though.  Bit sleepy, but generally in good spirits.  There isn't really anything at the moment to not be in good spirits about (although having said that I haven't dared look at my bank balance in weeks...)

Upcoming delights for you: I'm going to hopefully do a voice post (god knows on what topic but I'll think of something) and a handwritten post (to show you all how atrocious my handwriting is these days), and a filmstrip post of Prague photos.  I'll do these things when I am not out having a life.
