The One With The Exotic Currency

I picked up my Czech Koruna from Marks & Spencer's Bureau de Change this morning at the bright and early hour of 7.30am. I now have this great big wadge of notes - 4000Kč - which is making me feel very rich.  I am chosing to ignore the fact that it is worth about £100 - or about US$190 or 143 Euros for you statesider/continental types.

Incidentally, don't ever get your currency from anywhere other than M&S - their exchange rates are significantly better than Thomas Cook and the like, and they carry currencies like the Czech Koruna as stock, whereas most other places class it as an exotic currency (wonder if the £ is classed as such in the Czeck Republic?  I doubt it.) and have to order it in for you.  And M&S are open at 7.30am!  Credit must go to de_g for the original tip.

I am a proper perky little flower this morning, smiling at everyone and talking to people in my coffee shop and everything.  I wonder how long it'll take for work to drag me down to the depths of misery?  Actually, it might even not today, because today is my last day before I have six whole days off.  I've been needing this holiday for about the last three months.
